Beltane Farm (C)
Beltane Farm is a small farmstead and artisan cheese producer making a variety of fine goat milk cheeses. Although their award winning fresh Chevre is the most popular cheese at Beltane, they also make a number of fine French style ripened cheeses as well as Feta. Their Oberhasli and La Mancha goats are milked twice daily and provide the milk for their cheese There is no use of pesticides, hormones or prophylactic antibiotics in the feed or raising of their goats. All of their cheeses are made with vegetable rennet. Beltane Farm is owned by Paul Truby and is located in Lebanon, CT. Jackie Reynolds of Oak Leaf Dairy, also in Lebanon, creates 100% natural goats milk soap, fragrances, and essential oils, as well as unscented soaps. Captain Rich Cook has been a full-time commercial fisherman since 1980. The Local Catch is a local seafood processor and wholesaler that markets local seafood to local consumers. John Shail and Donna Barnes offer their wonderful and amazing maple syrup and fresh greens. Like no syrup you’ve ever tasted. John taps maple trees all through Chester and surrounding towns to find the gallons and gallons of sap he needs. Long, intricate lines of tubing winding through woods and around trees allow sap to drip into buckets in early spring. Sweetwater Farm is a jewel of a farm right here in Chester.
